Strength Training
We specialize in full-body strength training that can be done with minimal equipment at home, in the gym or on the road, conveniently and efficiently. We make it more of a sport by using a variety of equipment – free weights, toning and stability balls, stretch bands and tubes.

Functional Fitness
Our programs feature exercises that train your body in functional fitness, movement patterns that reinforce the way you perform your daily activities. The “4 for Life” exercises pictured here provide a basis for good body mechanics and a foundation for multi-joint exercises that strengthen the body. (click on image for details)

Strength Training benefits you at every decade.

At 20: A 20-year-old woman who does not lift weights will lose about 6 pounds of muscle and gain 5 pounds of fat by age 50.

At 30: By age 30 you’ve achieved your peak bone mass, the most bone density you’ll have in your lifetime.

At 40: At about age 40, most women start to lose bone and muscle mass causing a decrease in metabolism of about 3% every decade.

At 50: The average weight gain during perimenopause is 10 pounds.

At 60: In your 60’s the loss of muscle fibers causes you to slow down, lose strength and vigor.

At 70: In the U.S. 2/3 of women over the age of 75 can’t lift 10 pounds.
